For several years after college, Jamie served as a Marketing & IT Manager for a national Office Supplies company, duties involved data cabling, IT infrastructure and support, and managing electrical contractors across multiple sites.  Design and Marketing duties were also involved with promotion of over 20,000 stock products, both by Internet and Print.

After four years in this role, and several years of night school updating electrical qualifications. A niche was established in the electrical contracting marketplace for reliable and professional Portable Appliance Testing, so ESI: was formed (or J Morgan Portable Appliance Testing as it was known).

ESI has grown from strength to strength, based upon the simple premise of providing a reliable and professional service, keeping to schedules and providing quality workmanship.

Jamie is fully qualified as an electrician, with specialist skills in Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations, Hazardous Areas, and the Design of Electrical, Fire and Emergency Lighting systems.  Dedication to quality, training and expertise is seen in Jamie’s Membership of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, and award of the post nominal’s MIET. (Previously the Institute of Electrical Engineers.)

As our NICEIC Qualified Manager and ECA Qualified Supervisor, Jamie has to ensure all company works and inspections comply with all current rules and all codes of practice for electrical installation works.

Hobbies include travelling, mountaineering and skiing. Recent trips have included the Spanish Pyrenees, Canadian Rockies, and San Antonio, Texas.  Jamie also holds a full UK motorcycle license and has owned various bikes including a BMW F650.

Neil left school and trained in electronics servicing and repair with a local electrical retailer.  During his career with this local firm Neil served as a Panasonic Service Engineer, conducting fault finding and repair on a wide range of electrical equipment.

With over 25 years experience in the service field Neil is a valuable resource within the company.  Neil has also received credit for his achievement in the industry in the Sharp National Service Engineer Awards.

Neil joined ESI in 2004, and is a qualified electrician and electronics engineer; along with his vast experience at circuit board level, Neil also holds specialist qualifications in Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations, Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting and Data Cabling.

As our NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, Neil has responsibility to ensure the day to day operations of the company comply with NICEIC rules and all codes of practice for electrical installation works.

From a background in retail electronics Neil has a real magpie attraction to all electrical items that glitter, his passions include huge televisions and surround sound systems.
